Update:

After a few days installed on the printer the PLA is starting to take on a set and loosen it's grip on the camera casing and bracket ball. I am going to try printing the bracket and socket in PETG.

This is a case and bracket with ball mount for a focusable Pi camera.

There are two different types of frame mounts a tabbed version and ball version.

There are two different sizes of frame mounts for 2020 and 3030 extrusions.

To assemble you'll need two M3 x 16mm screws and M3 nuts.

Fits are tight to prevent moving due to vibration.

Print Settings

Printer:

HyperCube Evolution

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

30% and 50%

Filament:

3D Solutech PLA

Real Black

Notes:

The case is printed at a minimum of 30% because at lower infill some small areas would not have any infill.
The other parts are printed at a minimum of 50% for additional strength.

  • The front and back of the case, and 3030/2020 tabbed frame mount are oriented correctly for printing and do not require support.
  • The 3030/2020 ball frame mount requires support everywhere.
  • The socket is oriented correctly for printing and requires support from the build plate only.
  • The bracket should be oriented standing on the ball with support from the build plate only.
  • The link is printed flat on the build plate.

For tabbed frame mount:

  • Print two links
  • Print one of everything else.

For ball frame mount:

  • Print two links
  • Print two sockets
  • Print one of everything else.
