Problem Solvers Mismatch Adapter 1.0 (http://problemsolversbike.com/products/mismatch_adapters), optimized for 3D printing.

This adapter allows you to mount certain SRAM shifters & Shimano (hydraulic?) brake levers together without two separate band clamps.

This particular model is the right side.

This particular variant is the 1.0, which, according to Problem Solvers, will work with the following Shimano brakes: BL-M985, BL-M988, BL-M820, BL-M785, BL-T785, BL-M675, BL-T675, BL-M640, BL-M596

In general: Shimano I-Spec Brakes (2012 & earlier) + SRAM Matchmaker Shifters

How I Designed This

http://problemsolversbike.com/products/mismatch_adapters

I borrowed one from a friend & just copied the measurements over. Thanks to Problem Solvers for high quality machining & nice round numbers. I had to guess the curvature for certain parts.

Resized the M5 holes to be a bit larger for 3D printing.

Assembly & Materials

  • print as many as needed (1x, 2x drivetrain) - make sure to mirror the part for left/right (2x) setups (this is the RIGHT side)

Per shifter/brake combination:

  • x2 M5 x 8 mm bolts
  • x1 M5 brake lever clamp nut (specialized square nut; see the instructions)

Here are the Problem Solvers instructions: http://problemsolversbike.com/files/tech/1561_PRO_MisMatch_Instr.pdf

The square nut may be proprietary; I don't know. Maybe it comes with the Shimano brake levers. Maybe you can get it from Problem Solvers or from a hardware store.

You may need to file down the slots to ensure a good fit.
