There's already a bunch of hex key handles out there, but all of the metric ones topped out at 4 mm.
Here's a simple 5 mm one.
Moderately parametric model. I got lazy when it came to the handle, especially the fillets.
The zip-tie is recessed. The head sticks out a little bit, but it really doesn't bother me.
With the zip-tie, the hex key is very secure. I'd say it's necessary for use.
I used a pair of nail clippers to flush trim the excess off, & it's comfortable to hold.
The hex key slot fits closely; it could be a little closer.
The hole through which the key sits is the same size as the slot, but came out slightly small. I had to gently twist the key through. I'm going to leave the file as-is.
As for the my hex key dimensions, it turns out they aren't tightly standardized. Here are two tables I found for metric hex keys:
Neither of which match mine. Mine has a short arm length of 29 mm, & a long arm length of 73 mm.
