\r\n\r\n### Open Sauce 2026\r\nOnce again we\u2019re teaming up with [Open Sauce](https://www.opensauce.com/), the technology and creator festival for people who make things.\r\n\r\nOpen Sauce brings together makers, engineers, creators, strange machines, homemade robots, backyard rockets, and weird internet experiments ...aaand it's a great match for a Printables challenge. \r\n\r\nThe 2026 event takes place July 17\u201319 at the San Mateo County Event Center in California. So if you\u2019re nearby, stop by and say hello at our booth. :-) \r\n\r\n### Challenge\r\n\r\nThis time, we\u2019re bringing the Printables community into a real arena with a challenge built around 3D printed spinning battle tops. \r\n\r\nDesign a 3D printable spinning battle top that can be launched, survive a hit, and keep fighting in the arena like [this one from stlDenise](https://www.printables.com/model/1698197-3d-printed-spinning-battle-tops)!\r\n\r\nYour model should be ideally launched with a pull-strip or ripcord-style mechanism. Pay attention to weight distribution, contact points, stability, impact resistance, and how the top behaves when it meets another one at full speed. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n### This one can leave the screen!\r\n\r\nIf you\u2019re coming to Open Sauce in California, you\u2019ll have a chance to bring your printed battle top and compete with it live in the arena! You can even win some spools of Prusament at the stlDenise booth.\r\n\r\nIf you\u2019re not coming in person, your model can still make it into the action. Someone else may print it, and give it a few seconds of glory in the Open Sauce arena, and we think it's really cool. :-)\r\n

\r\nLight switches are everywhere, and most of them are just plain plastic plates. For this flash contest, design a 3D printable cover or frame that makes a regular light switch look better.\r\n
\r\nMake it nicer, more useful, or solve one small problem. A glow-in-the-dark frame, a safety guard, a small label slot, or a simple themed cover are all welcome.\r\n
\r\nSwitches are different around the world, so mention the type, dimensions, mounting method, and any hardware needed. And keep it safe: your model must not expose wiring or interfere with the electrical parts.\r\n

\r\nShoes are one of those everyday things that are easy to improve with a small 3D print. For this flash contest, design a practical or decorative shoe-related accessory: something that makes shoes easier to wear, store, customize, or repair.\r\nYour model can be a no-lace system, lace decorations, a shoe horn, boot hook, heel protector, drying stand, or any other helper for footwear. It can be simple, but it should solve a real problem or add something useful (or cool). A tiny print that saves time in the morning is just as welcome as a storage system for the hallway. If your model works best with flexible filament, PETG, or a specific print setup, don\u2019t forget to mention it in the description.\r\n

\r\nIn March, designers from 3Demon created a set of great-looking skins for the CORE One L, turning the printer into three very different things: a TARDIS, a dark steampunk machine, and a small mushroom forest scene. We liked the idea a lot. The CORE One printers have a clean, compact shape, and they feel like a perfect base for more decorations, add-ons, and mods - something that can take on a life of its own in the hands of the Printables community.\r\n

\r\nDesign a printable look for the CORE One+ or CORE One L: decorative covers, themed panels, magnetic accessories, frame add-ons, button covers, small props, or a full transformation of the printer into something completely different. It can be sci-fi, fantasy, industrial, cute, minimal, strange, practical, or something out of this world.\r\n
\r\nYou can use the CORE One and CORE One L CAD files released under our new [Open Community License 1.0.](https://blog.prusa3d.com/core-one-cad-files-release-under-the-new-open-community-license-ocl_127290/). Simply load the files into your preferred 3D modeling software and build around the printer model!\r\n\r\n#### We have just one important rule: \r\nmake sure the design does not limit the printer\u2019s functionality. The door must still open properly, controls should remain accessible, and nothing should interfere with printing or ventilation.
