I use hair combs. Alot! They're all so small, I wanted a large one, so I made it.
For these I have been using PLA, I have been thinking about PETG too, but I have so many pretty colors in PLA and after testing I was suprised how good it was.
It's been printed with 0.6mm nozzle, because that happened to be in the printer right now, so I tested, that was nice, but I'm sure 0.4 works as well. This doesn't have infill, mostly because it's so flat that it's just bottom and top layers, but I don't know how it would act while forming if it had infill. I used ironing to get nice finish and it might had been a mistake, it's so.. full of pointy stuff on the edges now, I had to file, alot, to get it usable. Can't really recommend that option for this item.
I used metal bowl I happened to have on hand while forming these with reflow soldering station, so mini hotair gun basically. This is so large and thin I had to heat it here and there and form some more, bit at a time, but I might had taken it too carefully. I didn't want it to lose all shape.
This size was what I wanted and this thickness worked for me, your experience may vary, so test that in mind! :)
Happy hair accessory printing everyone!
EDIT: Updated the model a bit, made it a bit more regular. It's the comblarge2
