SOVOL SV02 Sailfin Direct Drive Mod

I didn't design anything here : this is a mix of the excellent Sailfin remix designed by SIVIS-JOE ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5135793 ) and the direct drive plate designed by MrHasBean for the SOVOL SV02.

Please note that I chosed to convert only one extruder to direct drive as I consider that it is overkill to convert both extruders.

I've been using this mod for >100h printing, so far I consider this design is ok.

Additionnal parts needed :

• Pancake NEMA 17 motor having with integrated 10 teeth gear (those used for the voron Stealth burner, or the Sherpa / Sailfin / orbiter designs). Including at least 80cm cable. I use this one https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005003056906725.html
• BMG dual extruder (clone) : all gears and parts will be reused except the body. You can find that for 10€ on aliexpress.
• 22.5mm bowden tube

Unlike the original plate from MrHasBean , this time you won't need to drill a hole in the original sovol plate, I reused an existing one. You may need some spacers as my design is also compatible with my SV02 fan shroud design (see https://www.printables.com/fr/model/238818 ).

A few supports are needed, but nothing difficult, see the picture. The two needed supports are shown, you can block all other supports.

Best results using 0.15mm layer

I printed it using PETG Carbon and HIPS Yellow. So far no problem, even for printing ABS.
