After enclosing my printer I noticed the cable would start to curl into the area under the build surface between the lead screw and guide rods.

To prevent the transfer of lubricants and or damage to the hotend cable due to contact with the lead screws I created this cable guard to permit the cable free movement within the enclosure and the guard to prevent entry into the printer.

The design consists of two (2) parts one the guard requires two (2) prints and a center connecting block to create a single mountable part. My preference is to mount on the inside to create a guard that is then flush with the vertical 2020 extrusions outside surface; but it may also be mounted on the outside if desired.

The design is 480mm edge to edge when assembled with 460mm for the mounting holes. All the design files are posted for easy modification as necessary for other printers.

Please post any makes and/or remixes to permit others to apply the designs with your modifications.
