I ended up using M5 heat inserts and M5 bolts for both and it works really nicely.

screws needed:
M4x12 as minimum for clamping
M5x35 for pressing the barb

Nice model. Had to file nuts down to fit. I have a metal lathe and machined a smaller diameter on the insert screw to hold it and keep it central.

Clearance for M5 nut was little small (edited)
