Repair flexible jaws for vacuum cleaner hose hanger with +/-32mm tube

I had to repair a vacuum tube holder with a broken flexible band. As I didn't want to purchase new one, I 3D printed it

Modeled with Fusion 360, I sliced it with PrusaSlicer and printed it in TPU on my Prusa MINI+.

I took the opportunity to play with the number of perimeters and infill to arrive at the "right" flexibility, starting from PrusaSlicer default settings

Even if the spool of TPU was new and just out of its bag, I put it in the drying box at 50°C 2 hours before and for the duration of the printing

Version 1: Layers height: 0.20mm/ 2 perimeters / Infill 10% Gyroid / Nb of solid layers 4 up and 4 down

Result was little bit too hard and tube difficult to insert on the support. Noted that when inserting the tube the flexible band must be able to be compressed a little as simulated by the clamp. It's visible in the 1st picture

Version 2: Layers height: 0.20mm/ 1 perimeter/ Infill 5% Gyroid / Nb of solid layers 4 up and 4 down

Perhaps a little too flexible and some doubts about the solidity. Even if compared to the original part the band seems less flexible. But comparing TPU with rubber not sure if it works

Version 3: Ep layers: 0.20mm/ 2 perimeters/ Fill 5% Gyroid/ Nb of solid layers 4 up and 4 down

Now that sounds pretty good

Installed on the support the last 2 versions have practically the same behavior when inserting and removing the vacuum cleaner tube. I will leave the most flexible version (v2) to test its lifespan... 

Next step manufacture a complete support for a larger diameter tube 39mm vs 32mm

I design the other parts, so you can print the complete hanger. It fits for tube with diameter of +/- 32mm

On top of .stl and .3mf files, I uploaded Fusion 360 .f3d file so you can modify the design and adapt it to your needs. It includes the support itself, the 2 pins that can be printed in PLA or PETG and the flexible band to be printed in TPU
