I needed a box for my M6 nuts and bolts. So I designed this Cap Nut Container.
It is quite large and has a thread close to M64. Unfortunately a metric thread of this size is hard to print if you want to use a layer height of 0.3mm. I redesigned the thread to have an angle of 80° instead of the normal 60°. Now the nut and bolt will print fine at layer heights up to 0.3mm with an 0.4mm nozzle.
The threads have a play of 0.5mm. This allows it to scale the parts down to 50% without losing the functionality of the thread. I tested the design on three printers at different layer heights up to 0.3mm and after printing all models were ok.
If you want to print the Cap Nut Container you can choose between three bolt heights (small, medium and large).
EDIT:
Thanks to Jstroner for the piggy bank idea!
I have just uploaded a file for the cap nut with a slot so you can use it as a piggy bank.
