The original Fidget Toggle Switch by kriswillcode is very satisfying to use as well as being easy to print. But as soon as I saw it I wanted it to have one of those red safety covers, the sort of thing you see in movies when people are launching missiles or such things.
I designed a cover with a print in place hinge and no overhangs that would need supports. Then I modified the original's cover so the hinge can key into the corner. Because the case is two identical pieces each of the corners nearest the toggle switch ends up with the key slot for the hinge. To fill in the corner that doesn't get used I also added the small Corner Filler piece. Leaving the corner filler off is fine.
All filaments shown are Jessie PLA.
I recommend assembling everything into one half of the case (2), then place the other case half on top of the assembly (3) as pictured.
I wanted to keep the ease of printing and assembly so the case is similarly mirrored and the margins are similarly generous. And the dimensions should be the same as the original so it should work with other remixes like 3 switch boxes or the short toggle switch (but I haven't tried them yet). I didn't modify the switch or the springs from the original but I included files for easy downloading.
