I started playing around again in Shapr3D on my MacBook and managed to come up with another interesting fidget toy design almost by accident. This one uses two interlocking spiral parts that twist together in a few different ways. The bases have holes that allow the spiral arms to penetrate and extend beyond the base. It's a fairly simple design but its fun to play/fidget with and it looking kinda cool.
I have included two separate models. The first model allows you to print both parts at the same time. I have also include a model that includes only a single part in case you want to print the two parts in different colours.
The pictures I have posted show the fidget toy printed in Prusa Galaxy Black and Galaxy Silver. The contrasting colours are kinda nice and makes for an interesting conversation piece to leave on the coffee table at home.
I love coming up with these interesting designs. As always, my designs typically include parts that print well on my Prusa Mini+, can be printed in a few hours or less and showcase interesting shapes and movement. I also like designs that look kinda unique and are fun to play with.
Let me know what you think. Enjoy!
