Dungeons and Dragons 5e Game Box. Modular design.

How to print:

PLA, 20% infill should be good but you can go lower. I recommend to print shell lower and it may be better to use 4 walls for the shell (and shell connectors).
I recommend using PETG for springs (or anything more bending resistant than PLA, but still rigit enough).
0.16 layer should be fine for most parts, except spring, grind-thumbler, and grind-wall. Grind parts will lock against each other so to prevent excessive binding I printed them with 0.04 layer height. Spring will be just more resistant to breaking that way.
Plates are designed to be printed with filament change (black→white) for the letters(or numbers). You have to put pause into gcode or pause it manually just after plate surface is done and only letters are left, and then make quick filament change.
Print grinders with teeths down.
Print a couple more spring than you need (I broken 2 during assembly and disassebly).
Other things print with the rule: In opened box up should be roughly facing you (do not apply to thumblers assembly, only plates and big parts.
Print axel horizontally and sand it ( or carefuly use knife) to fit loosly. Or if your printer can handle printing it vertically sure go for it, mine print started to wooble in around 70% height so i printed it horizontally

List of parts:

1x every part except the following: spring, thumbler, grind-thumbler, grind-wall, separator, axel, clip, connector
6x  spring, thumbler, grind-thumbler, grind-wall, separator
2x axel
4x connector
15x clip
A lot of magnets(neodymium) 10mm x 1mm

Not printable parts:

16x nuts and screws (I bough mine in Castorama they are roughly 2cm long [18mm thread] and 3mm thick. Be careful on thread length cause hinges screw holes are around 16mm so if you have shorter it may not screw properly.
2x hinges (I also bought them in Castorama, they are for furniture [probably ;)]. You can look for similar ones or just edit the model to fit other ones. If you edit the model then also look at pertruding element below, it is there to prevent opening angle higher than 90 degrees)

Assembly:

You can figure out most of the things from the picture but I provide few tips.
- while attaching plates to upper parts you have to bend it a little and push it in. The same applies to small middle plate but it is a little harder. I designed the place below “hp thp" to house spare parts for thumblers, but you can use it other way ( but it is also a little rough to open)
- magnets. Firstly use superglue or similar. Secondly WATCH ON POLARITY !!! ;). Thirdly, magnets should not touch so the symbol/text/number part should be glued to the magnet (ie. magnet on token and paper on magnet).
- thumblers (oh god why?) . This is the tricky part. Thumbler and walls of the frame have pertrusions that should be interlocked with grinders (grinders are not printed with them to allow replacement). Firstly, use regular printer to print numbers for the thumblers and glue it to the thumblers (be careful to glue it in correct orientation since left and right ones need to be mirrored), Secondly, steps:
1. Get thumbler
2. Push grind-thumbler into deeper role of thumbler and interlock those 5 “tooths” with eachother.
3. Put grind-wall on top of it with its “tooths” pointing outside (towards the frame wall).
4. Put spring in the other side of thumbler with its flat side poining outside the thumbler.
5. Slide the parts into frame ( you can use some paper [or similar] to tempotrarly put between frame and thumbler assembly to slide it easier and then pull it out)
6. Make sure that frame interlocked properly with thumbler assembly (tooths) ( you can use a needle to “help them”.
7. Push separator between spring and the frame ( needle will aslo help here).
8. Repeat points 1-7 3 times and put the axel through the hole on the side.
9. Change frame side and repeat 1-8.
-screw shell parts (top + bottom) together as the last step (or before adding upper swivel parts, those aren't dependent on shell connection.

Licencing ? ;p :

Use as any CC but if remixing/modding at least mention original project. Also, if possible let me know about any remixing/modding cause I'm interested too ;).

Footnote

Any other question? Send me message/comment (I don't know it's my first publication ever so figure something out.

If you have trouble understanding anything let me know. English is my second language so sorry for mistakes.

If you manage to print and finish it. I'll be glad to see how it worked out :) .

I did it in Blender, and still have *.blend file so if you want to remix/mod it and it will help let me know, I may send it over somehow.

Also added my png files (print as 20cm x 25cm and it should be scaled correctly).

For anyone interested in font it's Endor https://www.wfonts.com/font/endor.

Update 1

New replacable plates for swivel plates 1 and 2.
1: bigger, with slots for other resources, spellslots changed to numbers (for compactability)
2: just bigger
