Great idea

They worked out really well, thanks! For those interested I had to really whack them hard to separate them, but after that they work very smoothly and the hold the piece quite snuggly.

Keeps things right where they need to be.
Snapping the rotating bit free was tricky.

Great design but hard to rotate. I think a better version is with a knob

This is a cool idea! They'd probably be a lot stronger if you printed them "sideways", so the layer lines went vertically into the 2020 extrusion instead of being paralellel to the plain of the extrusion, but you'd have a much hard time printing this all "in place".
