A small collection of five coasters (Fire, Earth, Air, Water, and the White Lotus) with a coaster holder that has a multi-color design of Raava and Vaatu embedded without the use of an MMU or Palette!
Designs are based on art from Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. I have no affiliation with Nickelodeon or the creators of the shows. I'm just a huge fan!
I designed the Raava/Vaatu holder from a piece of fanart I found online. I couldn't find the original creator, so credit to whoever originally drew Raava and Vaatu as a yin-yang!
Coasters - Print coasters with your preferred settings. Coasters pictured were printed with a 0.4mm nozzle at a 0.2mm layer height. I inserted a color change at layer 14 (2.8mm tall). Choose a base color and then finish with the desired color for each coaster. Finish the coasters by adding a cork coaster adhesive to the bottom of each coaster. I used these cork coaster adhesives from Amazon, and the coaster holder included is sized to work with these coaster adhesives
Coaster Holder - Made of two separate files: Holder.stl and Insert.stl. The insert changes colors every few layers to create a multi-color effect without the use of an MMU or Palette. The holder has a slot to push the insert into that will conceal the layer-based color changes and maintain a consistent color on the edge of the holder.
Print Holder.stl with your preferred settings. Holder pictured was printed with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height.
I highly recommend printing Insert.stl with a 0.25mm nozzle at 0.1mm layer height. A larger nozzle will result in less fine detail for Raava and Vaatu. Color changes are every four layers until the final color change at layer 24 (2.5mm tall). Colors are as follows:
- White
- Orange
- Dark Blue
- Black
- Light Blue
- Red
- Holder Color
I've also uploaded a .3mf file of the insert to help with layer changes.
