This is a replacement for a music stand with 22mm rods. Such music stands are sold by e.g. Thomann

The original bottom part of the adapter broke apart.

My design is inspired by the music stand by eriix, but I created the files new from scratch.

I made some modifications to the original design:

  • The diameter is bigger, as my rods are not exactly 22mm and are a little bit deformed. Therefore the cad files are made for 23mm, but the imperfect printing artefacts bring it down to nicely fitting ca. 22,5mm.
  • The width of the part is 5mm shorter, because the rods of my music stand start to bend earlier. Therefore you need to print both of my parts and can't reuse the old upper part. (Which also broke in my case…)
  • I inserted a slot to allow a better grip on the vertical rod. Print this detail with support. You don't need to remove it, just break it, when you tighten the screw. Additional support is only needed in the main “half pipe” but not within the hexagon, see the pictures.

After I finished the part, I found the design https://www.printables.com/model/919-music-stand-spare-part here on printables. Probably we solved the same problem. Maybe someone will make a comparison in the future. :)

The knobs are based can be found here.

Some of the original screws are too short, because I made the new parts stronger. You need:

  • 2 external hexagon screws M6x40mm in the knobs.
  • 2 cylindrical inner hexagon screws M6x25
  • Reuse the nuts and one of the screws for the vertical rod

I attached the freecad files for your modifications.

Printed it with 20% gyroidal infill and with a wall count of 3 in PLA.
