For some time, I have wanted to make a charcoal filter to allow me to re-fill my above-ground pond.

You may be aware that tap water contains Chlorine amongst other things, so it needs to be filtered.

In addition to the stl files I have included the source file rsdoc courtesy of Designspark Mechanical; a free to use CAD package. So, feel free to change the design to perhaps make it better.

If like me, you have some leaks just use some resin to seal them.  I have made a change to the design which should prevent leaks, hence V2.  The thread at the top of the filter is ¾ BSP.  I have used ABS, my go to plastic of choice, but you could use PLA or PET-G.

All you have to do is fill the filter case with Charcoal, replace the threaded cap and you are ready to go.

Happy printing/filtering.
