Replacement part that I designed to save my headphones. Other replacement parts were either out of stock or too expensive so I made my own.
Assembly
- Fold the ear cup in and remove the 2 black screws near the swivel joint.
- Separate the inner and outer halves. Then remove the 2 silver screws on the metal swivel joint bracket.
- Separate ear cup from the inner side cover.
- Cut or break the outer side cover to free the wire. (I cut a slot in the part with a pair of flush cutters to free the wire without destroying the part.)
- Slide the old outer side cover off the rail.
- Feed the wire through the slot in the new outer side cover and slide it onto the rail.
- Press the swivel joint bracket into the inner side cover and reinstall the 2 silver screws.
- Reassemble the 2 haves and reinstall the 2 black screws near the swivel joint.
