These are snap-on mounts for attaching camera accessories to the legs of a Peak Design Travel Tripod. I often use a powerbank and a wifi pocket-router to connect my phone or tablet to my cameras for remote control on macro shots or timelapses. Inspired by the snap-on mount for the hex keys that came with the Travel Tripod I made mounts for the following:

  • a powerbank (profile dimensions about 82x23mm)
  • a cable release Canon TC-80N3 (most other brands should fit also)
  • a Case Relay module to connect the powerbank to a battery dummy for longer timelapses
  • a wifi router model TP-Link TL-MR3040
  • a wifi router model TP-Link TL-WR902AC
  • a compact version for powerbank, TL-WR902AC, and Case Relay module

To attach the clips you hook one side around the leg and twist until the clip snaps onto the leg. Removing the clips from the legs also works best with a twisting motion.
I have also added the same mounts that fit on the legs of a Manfrotto tripod model 055XPROB, leg top tube diameter 29.3mm.

I have included the Fusion 360 file with all the parts, in case you need other dimensions for your devices.
I printed mine from PLA with 10% infill and they work fine, PETG also should work fine and is perhaps even better suited for this purpose.

UPDATE 2024/10/26: added two more mounts, updated the f3d project file to v27

  • Anker Prime 6-in-1 Charging Station (link), no photo, it was not for me, so I did not print it, but I have feedback that it fits the device
  • universal mount for a device attached with two M5 screws at a distance of 50 mm (see photo with the makita battery adapter)
