Sharper Image Flip RC car parts

For the Sharper Image RC Flip car.

A cheap basic RC I picked up a couple years ago for $10 which has provided hours of entertainment for kids and myself alike. It was showing some wear and tear so it was time to mod and repair.

-1st mod wheels and tires:

If nothing else, this provides the geometry of the central hub for other mods. If printed as is, with 15% infill it reduces the weight of the stock wheel and tire by 50%.

This solves the tires constantly popping off the wheel and in my case a cracked wheel.

The current PLA iteration is a bit low traction and can slip and fail to flip even on carpet so perhaps TPU would be better or a more aggressive tread.

This was a fun conversion using tracks and wheels converted from FPV-Rover (Tank)

I found however that this application was not appropriate since all the added friction makes the car slow and works the motors excessively. If you wish to try it 23 tracks pieces are needed PER SIDE, a length of solid 1.75mm filament can be used to chain the tracks together.

I'll also be posting a bumper crash guard once tested since for some reason it seems to always find and smack hard into metal table legs.
