BoB a fun introduction to the world of walking robots for children and adults alike! with simple construction and very low part count you can have your bob up and walking in no time. i've updated recently to include the BoB poser software by robotfreak modified from the fobo poser software just load the arduino code onto the controller and plug in BoB to usb and get posing! it allows a frame by frame sort of capture mode and playback making animations easy

Bill of materials (BOM)

The printed parts for bob can be found in the files section

the parts are currently at version 2.0 while they look different then the prototype pieces in this instructions Assembly will be the same as only cosmetic changes were made. I will update with the newer version if and when i get a printer.

Parts you will need:

  • 1 X head
  • 1 X base
  • 2 X bracket
  • 2 X feet
  • 4 X 9g servos
  • micro controller of choice (ardiuno nano fits nice)
  • battery (nimh 9v, lipo, AAAs, whatever you have that works)
  • 4xAAA battery pack (or any suitable power source)
  • parallax ping sensor(optional, also updating files for cheaper alternative)
  • micro controller of choice (smaller is better)
  • sr04 or ping
  • ultrasound
  • 3mm leds
  • Phillips head screw driver
  • nail file or sand paper
