PLA can create such wonderful details. Using normal PLA we have introduced a wooden texture to a vase to create this incredible weathered wood look. Oil paint with multiple washes does the rest.
There is a second stl which flattens the bottom more in case you have had issues with the supports not working.

Painting
We used a dark oil paint, then washed it out with water leaving the darker colours in the cracks but the outer surface barely stained. Then used a light colour to get the main colour.
How I Designed This
We created a vase with Blender then used a displace modifier and subdivision surface modifier to apply a texture using an unwrap tool to apply the texture over the exterior only with a UV map
