I was inspired to design this ESP32 D1 Mini case after writing a blog about using the ESP32 D1 Mini and ESPresense to incorporate room-specific presence detection in my Home Automation.
After using someone else's design, I thought it'd be fun to re-design my own using OpenSCAD and to share the source code so that others could take the design and modify it to their own needs.
The friction-fit design snaps together pretty snugly around the ESP32 D1 Mini with holes for the development board's status LED, micro USB port, and reset switch. There's seven different styles of “vents” to improve both ventilation and hopefully help optimize WiFi and Bluetooth reception.
The available styles are:
No 3D Printer? No Problem! I'm selling the ESP32 D1 Mini case in my Tindie Store.
