Usually, I might 3D print a boomerang prototype before committing the time and materials to make a nice wooden one. In this case, however, the flame maple lap jointed one came before the 3D model.
Nice midrange flyer. The two prints shown require a medium to hard throw and do a 35 meter-ish circle. Throw with a bit of layover if it flies too low and make sure it is not bent downwards (i.e., it lies flat on a table).
Since I made this to scale from the wooden one, it is probably too big for many printers. You can just scale it down to fit your printer, anything from the 300x300 mm class down to 200x200 mm should be fine.
Made in Onshape from a reference photo. Take a look at the model to see how it was done.
