🌿 INTRODUCTION

Designed this airpot for easy printing. The little holes let air in and the roots will prune themselves when they reach the edge of the pot. This will encourage the roots to sprout out more, creating a more productive root system.

You can search for “air pruning roots” “air pots” or similar to get further information about the process.

In addition to that I found it is virtually impossible to overwater a plant in the Mesh Fabric Air Pot.

One version prints best with a 0.6 mm nozzle, the other with a 0.4 mm nozzle

🔧 PRINT SETTINGS

I reccomend you use SuperSlicer for this print, as PrusaSlicer needs some tweaking. For an easy print I reccomend the following print settings in PrusaSlicer:

  • In the “Layers and Perimeters” Tab
    • make sure “Detect thin walls” is CHECKED
    • make sure “Detect bridging perimeters” is UNCHECKED
  • In the “Advanced” Tab
    • for 0.4 mm nozzle set “External perimeters” to 0.45 mm
    • for 0.6 mm nozzle set “External perimeters” to 0.65 mm

Sadly, I haven't gotten Cura 4.13 to work properly with this model, as it will always attempt to make two perimeters in the mesh part. The Cura 5.0 beta however works as intended.
