Designed by my 9-year-old daughter as a major cuteness upgrade to the admittedly grumpy OctoBot! The babies, mamas and daddies can go on countless adventures in the hands of creative kids, or happily provide clicky fun for fidgeters of any age.

Print recommendations

Print with sufficient resolution to achieve switching action. For the tiny size:

  • 0.2 mm layer height with a 0.4 mm nozzle is plenty;
  • 0.3 mm layer height will be too loose.
Bonus

Puzzle-lovers may enjoy printing the included “mama-baby attach bars.” These are designed to attach the baby to the mama so that she can be moved with the mama. This gives the mama another way to watch over baby, but not without a cost: both pairs of arms must remain in horizontal positions while linked.

Hint: The key-like part fits on either side of the baby's neck while the rods fit through the mama's side hip spaces. If you get it right they will stick together reasonably well.

Hint #2: Inserting the rods halfway on the mama first then fitting the baby's head between yields repeatable results.
