Step into the 21st century with the name tag from the future……today!

Why have the need to senselessly cut down trees for business cards when you can give out your details…. virtually!

Also includes the added benefit of feeling like a celebrity as people clamour with their smartphones to take photos of you……. well kind of….

Follow the steps below to create your own QR Name tag or try printing (and scanning) the samples I have included:

  1. Head over to https://printer.tools/qrcode2stl/
  2. In the section titled 'QR Code Options' select Contact (vCard)
  3. Fill out the relevant information you want your name tag to give and the dimensions of the tag/qr code (If you want to see one of my examples click here)
  4. Click ‘Generate 3D Model’ and wait for the render to finish
  5. Click ‘Save as STL’
  6. Open the STL in your Slicer, (you may also need to repair the model sometimes, you can click on the orange triangle in Prusa Silcer to repair it through Netfabb)
  7. Print out at max 0.2mm (don't forget the color change!) and attach a pin/magnet
  8. ?????
  9. Profit!………wait no don't it's against the license…
