If you want to add custom letters, here is my process in tinkercad:

  1. I chose the font and message https://fontmeme.com/star-wars-font/ * make sure there is no background and the letters are black.
  2. I dragged the finished message to a file converter https://convertio.co/ *change file to svg
  3. Insert the svg into tinkercad with the nameplate.
  4. To resize, hold the shift button and enlarge to fit in the name plate horizontally  (if you don't hold shift, the letters might look a little wonky)

Optional:

If you want your message to fit more closely, then you can use these steps

  1. Duplicate the name plate
  2. Add a hole block to the bottom part below your message and cut as much off as possible  *group hole block and image by dragging across both shapes and pressing group button
  3. With the duplicated name plate, cut everything except the bottom part
  4. Move the bottom part to your message part, and line them up as well as you can, if you need, make the snap grid 0.1mm
  5. Group them together and export

If you have trouble doing some things, there are some online tutorials on certain features.
