I needed a simple and small led light base for the small prints and models I have.

The easiest way for me was to modify a cheap cr2032 coincell battery operated tealight design. So I did it..

It requires soldering some cables to the LED pins. Most of us here are makers so it is not a big deal I guess..

My led choice is;

Diffused 5mm Slow Fade Flashing RGB LED https://www.adafruit.com/product/679

You can find it cheaper from ebay or aliexpress.

Please for the sake of your finger nails use a tool such as screwdriver to open the lid especially for the initial use! Some filaments are harder than rock and they don't bend..

Have fun!

Post-Printing =============

Support material needs a clipping tool to be removed from the base

Push the switch from top into its place on the base part after wiring it..

Push the 5mm led into the hole in the top part
