Formula 1 Pirelli tyre 18-inch aero wheels 2022-2025

The new 2022 Pirelli 18-inch Formula 1 tyres and rims with aero covers. You may hate them, you might not understand them, you can think of them whatever you want, but you can sure as heck print them!

These do not serve any practical purpose other than having them on display. There are several other F1 tyres/rims print files available from various places, but none of those I found are complete and/or detailed enough. The tyres in this collection proudly feature the following:

• Accurate tyre profile of the 18-inch generation
• Realistic 2022-style wheel covers
• Realistic tread patterns for the intermediates and full wets derived from this year's designs
• Accurate tyre markings derived from actual logos, printable with filament color change
• A display stand

I had good results printing these from PETG, as it provides that sleek shiny surface mimicking a fresh set of actual silicone-coated slick tyres. This is not so accurate for the inters and wet tyres, as these seem to have more of a matte surface, so PLA might do a better job there. Hell, for the best results, a flexible filament like TPU will probably be the best for the tactile accuracy - please share your results if you attempt this!

All parts are press fitted together, these are my baseline settings for printing on a Prusa MK3S+:

• tyre - PETG, 100% size, 0.2mm layer height with a color change for the top 2 layers
• rim/wheel cover - PETG, 101% size, 0.2mm layer height
• center nut - PLA, 98% size, 0.07mm layer height - it's better to print several at once so the delicate upper layers have some time to cool off or they tend to overheat when printing a single nut at once
