The plastic retaining ring of our ErgoRapido lost its 'claws' over time of heavy use. To fix the otherwise perfectly working vacuum cleaner, I designed a more rigid version of the retaining ring, hopefully others can find it useful also. I printed this in PLA, let's see how it holds up, if it fails, I'll try PETG or Nylon for a new version.
Supports:
No
Notes:
No supports needed when printed in the default orientation. If there are layer adhesion issues, you may print 90 degrees rotated about X or Y axis and use supports. That way the part should be stronger in the direction of the strain pulling it apart when mounted to the articulation.
