Star Trek Communicator Fridge Magnet Print-In-Place

For the print in place version it is called “Open Communicator Fridge Magnet” and should be printed with the lid as the only face touching the build plate.  (Note this is almost 2.56 degrees off from how the model will be imported.   A smooth build plate will be a better looking surface finish than textured.  With this version the lid can be flipped up to hold and write on trimmed post-it notes.

For the single piece version it is called “Closed Communicator Fridge Magnet” and should be printed standing up so the the lid is perpendicular to the build plate with the hinge facing upward.  Because of the height, a brim might be helpful.

The size of the magnet hole is over 4mm deep and 17.526mm in diameter.
