1U switches usually come with a pair of "L" brackets for mounting horizontally in a rack. But, what if you don't have a rack, are tight on space, or just need to mount to a wallboard instead? You can't just flip the brackets 90 degrees because the screw holes won't line up. With this bracket though, you can mount cleanly and securely to a wallboard.

NOTES:

This was developed for a Cisco SGU-18 switch. But, I suspect most 1U Cisco devices have the same footprint for the screw holes. Other manufacturers may as well.

Cisco rack screws are 4mm in diameter and 5mm long. Due to the thickness of the bracket (2mm) necessary for strength, I purchased 4mm x 10mm screws from the local hardware store and they worked perfectly.

I printed a very sturdy part with PETG, a .6mm nozzle and .30mm layer height in 46 minutes.
