Lumen Reel Holder - PVC Pipe V2

This is a SMD reel holder for the Lumen PNP. I loosely based it off the mgrbl reel holder.

I made this reel holder for 7" reels of parts for the 0816 feeder remix for the Lumen PNP which is based off the 0816 feeder from mgrbl.

The reel mount and reel shelf need to be screwed together with M3 screws. Anything from 6mm to 15mm should be fine. 

There is a notch on the reel mount for an optional M5 screw and T nut to firmly secure it to the aluminum extrusion on the Lumen PNP frame.

The reel shelf has two holes that are designed to use ½" PVC pipe. The pipe should be cut to 56cm in length. PVC pipe has some differences in tolerances, to keep the pipe from spinning wrap some electrical tape on the ends of the pipe and then force them into the holes.

The clips are designed to snap onto the pipe. Print lots of them to create slots to better hold your reels of parts in place.

This version includes a modified version of the front feet from the Lumen PNP cad models. This new version allows you to mount the reel holder flush with the front of the PNP and allows for easy removal of the feeder rail. You can either tap the ends of the 2020 rail included with the Lumen kit with an M5 tap and M5 screws, or use some T nuts to secure it in place.
