I'm fascinated by fidget toys but I've noticed that many are just remixes of older designs.

This is my latest attempt to create something completely new while continuing to expand my 3D design and drawing skills with Shapr3D.

My key design goals were:

  • Create something that looks really unique.
  • 100% printed in place (no assembly required).
  • Print in approximately 4 hours or less.
  • Must have interesting moving parts that move in an interesting way.
  • Has to be fun to “fiddle” with.

I'm posting this design for feedback.  It's prints extremely well on my Mini+ using Prusament Galaxy Silver.  You do have to play around with it a bit to get the parts to separate and move freely after printing.  The only additional thing I did was added a little lubrication to the spindles to get everything to spin smoothly.

Try it out and let me know what you think.
