Inspired by the Battle Kiwi kickstarter pieces for Star Wars Legion, I decided to dust off the old k40 laser cutter and CAD'd up these terrain pieces. They're cut out of 3mm baltic birch, but MDF is the preferred terrain wood. This is my first laser cut terrain piece and it's sort of my 'learning' bit so it's not too terribly detailed. I designed it to be either a missile silo or an escape launch pad. The detail pieces are engraved, the rest are laser cut.
I am sharing out my svg, I used it to design the order of laser operations per path. I've also included the sketchup file I used to export the shapes as an SVG to laserweb4.
As per before, naked Jawa, and now Gonk to scale.
Any Legion terrain makers, want to collaborate?

Notes:
Look at which parts I've cut and which parts I've engraved. Select paths in laserweb and stack your workflows.
I sprayed the glued piece with one layer of grey primer, it did not impact the engraved lines as you can see.
