For an electronics project, I picked up some small and inexpensive voltage meters (VM). They include tiny mounting tabs on either side which take very small screws and leave the meter exposed and vulnerable to damage.
This two-piece bracket provides an alternate means to surface mount these safely and securely. The base plate includes M3 sized holes for mounting.
The VM wiring can exit either out the back, or down the front. There is also an access hole that aligns with the adjustment potentiometer on the back of the VM.
The VM this was designed for is 10mm wide and about 9mm tall. The width is 31mm with the tabs, or 23mm without the tabs. The two pieces simply snap together and hold pretty well, but CA glue can always be used to permanently encase the VM (I suggest a dab of hot glue around where the wires mount to provide extra strain relief).
