Low profile Y-axis tensioner Ender 3 Pro

It was hard to find a belt tensioner for the Ender 3 Pro which doesn't add bulk to the printer.

I couldn't find any good adjustable Ender 3 Pro Y-Axis tensioner that was low profile and subtle. So I decided to design my own. The tension is adjustable by turning the bottom M4 bolt (pictured)
This one has about 4mm tensioning range and works out well with the standard GT2 belt.

Reuse the original bearings.

Parts you'll need extra:

  • 1x M4 x 20 socket head screw (to mount the original belt pulley/bearings)
  • 1x M4 x 14 (the adjustment screw)
  • 1x M4 nut (for the adjustment screw)
  • 2x M4 1mm thick washers (between the pulley/bearings and the pulley wedge)
  • 2x M5 x 12 rounded head screws (for mounting to the 40-40 extrusion)

Print in ABS or any other strong material as this has a good bit of tension on the wedge and in order to prevent part deformation.

I've added the .step file if you want to make adjustments of your own.

Don't forget to link if you remix ;) much appreciated!
