With this adapter, you can avoid drilling into window frame and attach blinds using only double sided tape.

It's designed for bolts from PC cases (HDD mounting etc.) with non metric (bit rougher) threads. Maybe weird choice, but metric threads are too fine in these sizes and self tapping screws I had, were too long 🤷.

In case you need to adjust something, there is also FreeCAD design file.

This is updated - v2. It is more robust (less bending), has universal holder (no need to mirror it once) and spacers are not needed anymore.

Any extra tensions weakens taped joint, so…

• There is second part - clamp to keep spring mechanism compressed and prevent it from unnecessarily stressing taped joints.
• After printing and bolting, make sure, that tape surface is flat and not curved! If that happens, heat up the adapter on heatbed and bend it slightly to the opposite direction.

Printing tips:

• Print on smooth surface for better tape adhesion.

Mounting tips:

• Don't forget to clean (eg. paint residuals) and de-grease window frames prior attaching.
• Don't over tighten bolts. It's easy to strip “self tapped” thread.
