After I had my Voron 0.1 built I wanted to be able to load up a bunch of prints to show people how 3D Printers work, but take the Voron 0.1 with me. I do use my phone to shut it down properly, but didn't want to use the phone for everything.
The following project is what I was looking for:
V0.1 Trident skirt remix with 12864 LCD
https://github.com/VoronDesign/VoronUsers/tree/master/printer_mods/golas/v0-trident-skirt-mix
My problem was I had already installed my skirts, and I didn't think I had enough primary (Pink) filament to do the complete skirt mod (I didn't want to risk another spool, and have the color drastically off). I was okay having slightly different skirts (sides vs front). My mod looks better than my attempt of hacking stock skirts and drilling holes.
This mod allows you to use existing Voron 0 skirts on the side, and the 12864 display and 12864 LCD mod skirts in the front.
**Please note that the full skirt mod is approximately 7mm taller than stock Voron 0. With full skirt the screen clears table surface with my mod and stock skirts the screen will touch the table. My temporary solution is have the screen hang off the table. The long term solution will get slightly taller feet, most likely 3D Printed.
Print Instructions:
-I used the same settings from Voron manual (40% Infill Gyroid, 4 wall/perimeter, 5 top & bottom)
Material:
ABS
Instructions:
-print one of each left and right parts
-reuse existing screws from the front feet. Remove original install these
-reuse the screws for stock Voron 0 skirts for the 2 skirts in the 12864 LCD mod. Follow the rest of the instructions for the LCD mod.
