Sponge Lamp Challenge

Made in Blender I wanted this organic shape to be a lampshade that casts ornamental shadows. 

So far I could not produce good results and quit because it got rather time consuming.

I still like the model though - it looks like belonging to some exotic coral reef place. 

If this is something for you, try to scale it to your needs so the bottom opening fits to your preferred lightsource. Remember to avoid diffuse bulbs, better go for pointlight style LEDs.

The smallest unit I use is a cheap LED tealight with the flame removed. They usually come with a flickering diode - so I always replace it.
