I wanted to use some other PCIe Cards with my ZimaBoard Single Board Computer, but in order to use any card, you need to remove the mounting bracket. As there isn't a standard for where the screw holes will be on a PCIe card for the bracket, I've opted to create a generic mounting block.
Simply install the desired PCIe card into the ZimaBoard and mark where the mounting holes for the PCI bracket are on the printed wall mount. Drill some small pilot holes and then secure the card to the wall mount using the screws removed from the PCIe bracket. I accept it's not as elegant as a custom solution, but provides more flexibility and can potentially be reused with different cards if the holes aren't too close.
Wall mounting holes are 5mm in diameter.
Note: If using the original screws for the ZimaBoard, you'll need to remove the bottom plastic plate, otherwise the stock screws won't be long enough. This does mean you'll have easier access to the BIOS battery.
Suggest using PETG, though PLA should be fine if not running in too warm an environment.
