Note that I recommend calibrating the extruder before proceeding with this calibration step.

There are several, factors that can have an impact on your prints dimensions, such as the used filament or a extruder-step-calibration.

Calibrate the X-, Y- and Z-Axis of your 3D-printer by:
  • print one test-angle
  • measure the printet model alont its x,y  and z-axis
  • compare the measured dimensions against the expected dimensions

Now you can adjust your Steps per mm in your printers firmware.

You can look up the number of steps in the printer manual, in the digital printer settings, query via remote maintenance or in the firmware code on the pc.

 

(distance expected % distance printed) * current steps value = NEW steps per mm value.

asking the machine:

my measured values:

X 99.8 mm

Y 99.7 mm

Z 100.2 mm

 

sending the machine:
