This adapter installs into the main body of a Dyson v7 vacuum and allows you to attach the HEPA final filter. Print in whatever you like, with or without supports. If you use no supports there will be a bit of bridging issues on the lower cutouts, so tidy them up (either cut off or heat and push into shape). Orient the adapter as shown in the photo (with attachment lug cutouts oriented vertically) and push it into the main body until it snaps in. There is a pair of rails in the opening above the handle, around the wires - the cutout in the adapter fits around those and prevents it from rotating. You probably won't be able to remove it non-destructively after installing it (it holds in really well). If you lever it out from the side you'll probably break off one of the snaps, but hey, you can always print another one. Whatever you do, make sure not to damage the electronics.

After you have installed the adapter, push the adapter on (rotated slightly to the left) and rotate to the right until it sits correctly. It will “snap in” a bit, but mostly hold by friction. Make sure there is no gap between the filter and the vacuum body. Remove the filter by untwisting it.
