Sticks & Lathers: The Suction Cup Soap Dish

For some reason, my gym no longer has a convenient place to put your soap dish while taking a shower. So I've been balancing it on convenient ledges for the last month or so. Then it hit me, “Chris you have a 3D printer ya dummy”. 

This and the very conveniently timed Soap Dish contest got my creative juices flowing. I took inspiration from a tripod mount I designed all the way back in 2011 and used suction cups to stick this sucker to the wall. 

This is very much a work in progress and very much my first time working with printed hinges. I already see room for improvement, but why not get this guy out into the wild.

After printing slide the lid into the hinge and attach 2x 30mm suction cups. 

Stick, soap, store.
