I needed a little cutout for the Insignia rechargeable battery I got for my new Xbox One controller. The battery is $10 and fits in the original cover, but is too snug and bulges out a tiny bit too much for my liking. Obviously the .stl provided does not have my screen name engraved into it. But hey, jump into Windows 3D builder and add your custom screen name in, it is stupid easy.

I don't even use any of Insignia's charging solutions, I just don't like the bulge in my battery cover. For $10 for just the battery, that's hard to beat. Insignia is a Best Buy brand.

Printer:

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.12mm

Infill:

Any

Filament:

Inland PLA (color change)

Grey-Natural color change by temp

Notes:

I printed with a raft, supports on, and with a 0.6mm nozzle. Infill did not matter for me, it was all walls anyway. Used Color change by temp PLA, it goes from dark gray to natural when exposed to heat. Might be useful for a battery cover, right? ;)

How I Designed This ===================

Windows 3D builder

This program doesn't have enough precision to place the cutout exactly where I wanted it... so I had to make it extra large. Otherwise, it's a solid way to modify stl files.
