I wanted to print a Mastersword for a long time and had tested various other models that are available out there. But I always had some issues with those. The biggest being the lack of robustness of the prints. Since I'm a klutz I do drop my props quite often and I broke two prints before I gave in and designed my own version.
To improve the robustness I added space for two carbon tubes that can be glued in. I used two tubes 1 meter in length each with an outer diameter of 8mm. (I used these: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08XZ9KMQ1) They fit tightly and I was able to drop the prop without it breaking apart like the others did. (Still, I recommend not dropping it ;-) I have also included a dowel that can be printed to connect the parts if you do not want to use the carbon tubes.
Making my own design also allowed me to change the model somewhat to make it stand out a little from the other models. Especially since I have a strong dislike for pointy parts that point towards my hands.
