Generic Spherical Cord Lock / Cord Stopper / Drawstring Toggle

A replacement for a common type of ball-shaped, spring-loaded stopper, for tightening drawstrings on clothes, bags, etc.

You'll need:

• 1x print included “Body” model
• 1x print included “Plunger” model
• 1x spring +-11mm long, +-7.5mm outer diameter (5-9mm OD should work fine)

Simply drop the spring down into the Body through the circular hole, followed by the Plunger (with it's flat side going first). The inserted side of the Plunger also has little nubs that you'll need to force through, which will catch once fully inserted, preventing the plunger from exiting.

Other options

To be perfectly honest, there are better designs out there, but I wanted to replace just one in a pair (the Body broke), so I could reuse the original Spring and Plunger and keep the original look and symmetry.

• single part compliant mechanism, no spring needed (the body is the spring)
• two-part interference lock (the harder you pull, the tighter it grips), no spring needed
• single part with minimal footprint, no spring needed (though it might damage your cord when adjusted often)
