A while ago I printed the superb wall mounts from thingiverse :

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2253244 and then thought it would be cool to have the spool holder on there as well as the shelve was positioned directly over my printer.

Spool Holder Roller (shelf version) by flosrn - Thingiverse

Unfortunatly it did not fit ( should have read better probably.) So I ended up using the spoolholder next to my printer. The problem with that is that the pull on the filament is greater then the resistance of the feet. esp when the rol is at it's end and very light. so it got dragged towards my printer with everything imaginable happening ( rol falling over , filament snapping clogging etc etc )

Rather then printing the thing again, after carefully measuring the size, I just made this tray .

there are cutouts in the bottom ( 11mm ) where you can easily fit a 10mm rubber foot found at your local DIY store or on amazon.nl just as an example :

LouMaxx Rubberen buffers, set van 24, transparant, Ø 11 mm, zelfklevende rubberen voetjes met extra sterke grip, premium elastische buffers voorkomen wegglijden en krassen, aanslaglawaai en trillingen : Amazon.nl: Klussen & gereedschap

there are of course many usecases for such a tray but this was mine.

As you can see I printed in Petg but I am sure it would print just as well in PLA, PLA+ or any other material you want to use.

Happy printing ;)
