A very simple thickness swatch with clear labelling and a hole gauge. The hole has the same diameter as and is offset by the thickness of the swatch (eg: the 3mm thick swatch has a 3mm diameter hole who's centre is offset 3mm from the edge).
This doesn't have any fancy case and is instead held together by a single M4 18mm + nut for the 1-5 set.
You can use the customizer to change the range of sizes created by altering min_finger_thickness and max_finger_thickness. It should handle most ranges of thicknesses pretty well but if you go above ~12 you might want to rework the label placement or optimize for width.

I've found printing with the highest resolution possible works best. Even then, I like to give the holes a quick pass with an appropriately sized drill bit to ensure dimensional accuracy.
